Carmelites Request Prayers for Eternal Repose of Sister Marie of Immaculate Heart

Source: District of the USA

The Carmel of the Holy Trinity passed along the following message to the US District, announcing the first death that the cloistered convent has experienced since its founding.

The following is a transcription of the note received by sspx.org:

In your charity, please pray for the repose of the soul of Sister Marie of the Immaculate Heart, Discalced Carmelite Nun, who died in the Carmel of the Holy Trinity, Spokane Valley, WA, shortly after 3:00pm on Sunday, August 16, 2020.

Sister Marie of the Immaculate Heart was born in Alsace, France.  She entered the Carmel of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (France) in August, 1986.  Out of obedience to her Ecclesiastical Superior, with much generosity, she left her native country and beloved Community of Eynesse, to join the Carmel of the Holy Trinity, where she spent herself in the service of God and her Sisters in religion.

In May, 2020, Sister was diagnosed with a very aggressive type of cancer.  She joyfully accepted the news, and prepared herself for the great moment of meeting her Divine Spouse. After having all of the Sacraments and Blessings offered by Holy Mother Church, Sister Marie of the Immaculate Heart died peacefully surrounded by the presence and prayers of her Mothers and Sisters.  R.I.P.

She was buried on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, in the cemetary of the Carmel of the Holy Trinity, having six priests from Immaculate Conception Church (Post Falls, ID) present for the ceremony and the Solemn High Requiem Mass which preceded it.
