On June 27, 2014 Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta ordained 9 news priests at St. Pius X Seminary in Econe, Switzerland.
On the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta ordained 7 deacons and 9 priests during a 4-hour ceremony at Econe, Switzerland.
In his sermon, Bishop de Galarreta took the opportunity of the feast to encourage the consecration to the Sacred Heart, origin of all gifts. He recalled the duty of thanking Him for God’s gifts and repairing the indifference towards His love. He reminded all the present the duty of spreading out the charity and mercy of God. The apostle of the Sacred Heart has to be ready to face obstacles in the world and in the Church, he said.
The world’s expression of its opposition to the Kingship of Jesus Christ is the denial of Him as lawmaker and judge.
In the Church and since the new orientations of the Council, the Kingship of Jesus Christ finds also obstacles in the today modern teaching which relativizes the mystery of Christ and of His doctrine. Quoting St. Ambrose he repeated he who dissolves the mystery and the doctrine is an anti-Christ. There are today many anti-Christs in the Church today who prepare the coming of the son of perdition.
He concluded by recommending going to Our Lady whose “Immaculate Heart is the shorter way toward the Sacred Heart!”
The SSPX's Superior General, Bishop Bernard Fellay, and Bishop Bernard Tissier de Mallerais were also present along with 134 priests who imposed hands upon the Benedictine monk, Br. Joseph Dupas (from the monastery Notre Dame de Bellaigue, France) and the 8 members of the Society of St. Pius X, 7 Frenchmen and 1 Swiss.
Tomorrow at the Society's Zaitzkofen in Germany, 5 other priests, 3 Poles and 2 Swiss will be ordained by Bishop Tissier de Mallerais.
Added to the 7 new priests ordained last week at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Winona , MN, there will be a total of 20 priests ordained in June for the Society of St. Pius X.
