Several seminarians of the SSPX were ordained to minor orders at the La Reja seminary in October.

From our Spanish-speaking brethren in Argentina, we are happy to announce some recent ordinations that took place at our seminary at La Reja, located just outside the capital city of Buenos Aires.

The event occurred on October 17th and included the ceremonies of clerical tonsure, ordinations to the minor holy orders, and an ordination to the major order of subdeacon.

During a Pontifical Mass, Bishop Bernard Fellay administered these Church's rites of preparation to the sacred priesthood which included:

  • the tonsure of 2 Argentinians,
  • the ordination to porter and lector of 4 Argentinians, 2 Brazilians, and 1 Mexican,
  • the ordination to exorcist and acolyte of 4 Brazilians, 1 Argentinian and 1 Mexican,
  • and of 1 Brazilian ordained to the subdiaconate.

A photo gallery of the event can be viewed here at the Argentina seminary's website.

This report is added to the recent joyous account of 53 seminarians entering the SSPX's seminaries for the 2015-2016 academic year, as well as the 6 subdeacons recently ordained here in the States.

Please keep these clerics in your prayers, that they may persevere in their holy vocation to the sacred priesthood of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
