The 2014 Pilgrimage to Lourdes hosted by St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary is coming up soon: October 17-28!
The theme of this year's seminary-led pilgrimage is "To Our Lady in the footsteps of St. Pius X" and here are some highlights of what will be seen:
Although the final destination is Lourdes, this year's pilgrimage commences in Italy in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the death of St. Pius X. Visit Riese, his hometown, Salzano where he was curate, and Venice where he was Patriarch. On the other side of the Alps in France, visit the miraculous apparition sites of Our Lady in Laus, La Salette, and last of all Lourdes. Other points of interest include: Padua, Turin, and Avignon.
The Marian shrine at Lourdes is especially noted as a place of healing, thus the infirm, handicapped and elderly are welcome to attend and special assistance will be available to pilgrims in need.
