Fill your soul with Christ Our Lord, Savior of the World, and attend the May 2014 Eucharistic Congress being hosted right here in the USA District!

We are proud to announce that a Eucharistic Congress will be held here in the SSPX's USA District this coming Spring! The May 11-13 event is being generously hosted by Notre Dame de La Salette Boys Academy in Olivet, Illinois.

For over 50 years, the Roman Catholic Church has annually held an International Eucharistic Congress, each time in a different place throughout the world—dioceses also occasionally hold such congresses.

The purpose of these congresses dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament is to increase understanding and inspire devotion in the Real Presence of Our Lord. With this object in mind, during these congresses conferences are offered on the subject of the Sacrament of Sacraments. The members of Church Militant are given ample opportunity to adore their Eucharistic King, through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Divine Office and devotions. Of course, the congress planned at La Salette Academy will be no exception!

See for example the conferences scheduled for the 3-day Eucharistic Congress that will take place in May:

  • St. Pius X and the Eucharist (Fr. Arnaud Rostand)
  • St. John's Gospel, Chapter VI (Fr. Patrick Rutledge)
  • Mass and the Holy Eucharist (Fr. Joseph Wood)
  • The Three Communion Prayers (Fr. Thomas Scott)
  • Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament (Fr. Steven McDonald)
  • Thanksgiving after Communion (Fr. Patrick Abbet)

The congress will also feature a Solemn Mass for each day, Exposition and Procession of the Blessed Sacrament, the Divine Office of Compline and as the liturgical climax of the event, a solemn Pontifical Mass offered by Bishop Bernard Tissier de Mallerais followed by Benediction.

Come to Olivet for three days of adoration, instruction, and contemplation, all centered on the very core of spiritual reality: the Holy Eucharist. You will come away with a new appreciation for the Sacrament of Eternal Life!
