Deo gratias: the SSPX's seminaries continue to flourish with vocations to the priesthood and religious brothers.
The Society of St. Pius X welcomes 43 new seminarians
This year, 2013-2014, the Priestly Society of St. Pius X has welcomed a total of 43 young men in the first year of Spirituality in its different seminaries.
In the Northern Hemisphere, Holy Cure of Ars Seminary in Flavigny (France) received 15 new seminarians (14 French and 1 Italian) and 6 postulants to the brothers (5 French and 1 Canadian).
Sacred Heart Seminary in Zaitzkofen (Germany) received 4 new seminarians (2 German, 1 Polish and 1 Czech).
St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Winona (USA) received 10 new seminarians (9 American and 1 Irish) and 2 postulants to the brothers (2 Americans).
In the Southern Hemisphere, the school year that began in March 2013, saw 8 new seminarians (4 Argentinian, 2 Brazilian and 2 Mexican) and 1 postulant-brother (Brazilian) enter Our Lady Co-Redemptrix Seminary in La Reja (Argentina).
6 new seminarians (2 Australian, 1 American, 1 Indian, 1 New Zealander and 1 Nigerian) entered Holy Cross Seminary in Goulburn (Australia).
This makes a total of 43 first year seminarians and 16 postulants for the year 2013.
The seminaries of the Society of St. Pius X currently count 210 seminarians in training, as well as 20 novices and postulants to the brothers.
