A new shrine and parish dedication took place on the Feast of the Holy Family at Queen of Angels Church in Texas.
On January 8, Feast of the Holy Family, a new outside shrine and altar to the Holy Family was dedicated as the parish consecrated itself to the Holy Family.
With a matching foundation constructed by local craftsmen Mr. James Lillis and Mr. Mark Bryan, the shrine was totally completed with the addition of a center front piece made of granite with the "Cor Unum" emblem of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts.
Given the attacks of the modern world against the sanctity of the family, as well as St. Lucia of Fatima’s warning that Our Lady told her that the ultimate battle between Christ and the devil would be waged over the family, it is fitting that we invoke the Holy Family’s protection this year.
O Lord Jesus Christ, Who, being made subject to Mary and Joseph, didst consecrate domestic life by Thine ineffable virtues; grant that we, with the assistance of both, may be taught by the example of Thy Holy Family and may attain to its everlasting fellowship.” -Collect of the Holy Family
