CHAPEL HISTORY

The first Mass at Our Lady of Victory Church was celebrated in the present building on December 8, 1985, with Fr. Ottonnello officiating at the request of the SSPX's USA District Superior, Fr. Laisney.  55 faithful attended at that time.

Soon afterwards in 1986, Fr. Post began to serve the Las Vegas chapel every weekend.  Desiring to have a resident priest, the parish had an independent priest for a short time, but eventually decided to have the priests of the SSPX serve them again on a weekend circuit.

In 2002, Fr. Peter Otto, a former diocesan priest and friend of the SSPX, became the resident priest at Las Vegas, fulfilling a long-time dream of the parish.  Currently, the parish has 150 faithful regularly attending.
