My name is Marcela Diaz. I attend Jesus and Mary
Chapel in El Paso, Texas. I am 19 years old. As a proud graduate
of Jesus and Mary Academy and current community college student, I
think it’s important for young Catholics to experience their true
Faith outside of their usual environment such as their homes and
parishes. Catholic history should be learned through books but it
should also be imprinted on our hearts by relating past events to
our own lives and making our own history. Traveling to Europe has
been a lifelong dream. This would be a truly amazing Catholic
experience and a blessed opportunity to fortify my faith and meet
fellow traditional Catholics. I am currently working part-time and
hope to save at least half of the money for the trip. However, I
would be humbly grateful for a generous sponsorship.

to going on this pilgrimage because it would be a great experience
of living my faith like never before. This would be my first time

visit places with such a historical value where our faith has so
much meaning. I would also get to spend time with fellow young
Catholics and live our Catholic faith when it is so hard to do so
in these times where the world has so many evil influences. I am

Chris Aubuchon. I attend Mass and school at St. John Vianney
Academy in Long Prairie, Minnesota. I would like to go to Europe
on the Youth Pilgrimage, not only to see the great beauty of the
land, but also to see the many churches and cathedrals of the
three formerly greatest Catholic countries of the world. But since
my family and I are rather poor we would only be able to pay some
of the expense. I will pray for you and carry your intensions with
me on this pilgrimage. I will also be praying that my school will
have many vocations to the religious life.

Vianney Parish Academy in Long Prairie, Minnesota. With three kids
attending college this coming year, my parents cannot afford to
send me on this pilgrimage. I have saved a minimal amount of money
but I still need assistance. My senior class has a special
mission: to obtain the grace of vocations for our school, which
has not produced any vocations yet. Please help us to fulfill this

Patrick McClanahan. I am a senior at St. John Vianney in Long
Prairie, Minnesota. I am having difficulty raising money because I
am from a poor family and my school already exhausts all of the
fundraising opportunities in the nearby communities. I can only
afford a small portion of my own money for the pilgrimage because
I plan to attend St. Mary’s College after I graduate. Going on
this pilgrimage will be one of the most beneficial experiences in

attending St. John Vianney for 12 years and in all that time, not
one religious vocation has been produced from our parish. If I am

Joseph Blansett, a freshman from St. Thomas Becket Academy
location in Veneta, Oregon. My school is giving its students the
wonderful opportunity to go on Chartres Pilgrimage. As the cost of
the pilgrimage is beyond my ability, I am seeking benefactors to
help me. I am also doing fundraising with fellow classmates
trying to raise money. I would love to go for the remarkable
religious experience, and the once in a lifetime opportunity to

Academy, a Society school in Veneta, Oregon. I am a sixth child of
ten and I want to go on this pilgrimage, first to deepen my faith
and second to increase my knowledge of all the places that we will
visit and have studied in our history class. My fellow students
and I are fundraising to help achieve this goal. Any sponsors or

Academy. The reason I want to go to Europe on the pilgrimage is
the profound religious experience offered. Also, I want to go and
see the sites that Spain, France, and Portugal have to offer;
especially the Covadonga Cave where Pelayo held out against
innumerous odds along with the miraculous springs of
Lourdes. Fundraisers will be held throughout the period of
preparation, but there is not enough time. Therefore, I am asking

and Church in Veneta, Oregon. When I heard from my parish priest
that he would allow my high school to go on this pilgrimage, I
gratefully thanked God for this opportunity to view numerous holy
sites such as Lourdes, Covadonga and Fatima, and especially to
gain an abundance of spiritual benefits. But, in order for me to

Academy in Veneta, Oregon. This year my school has given us
classmates the great opportunity to take part in the annual
Chartres Pilgrimage. The tour before the pilgrimage itself will
allow me to see some of the Catholic sites that I have learned in
my history classes, namely Fatima and the sites of the Spanish
Reconquista. In order to go on this pilgrimage and see these

year, I realize that God and the faith are what will keep us young
Catholics strong in this modern day battle against the world. And

went on the pilgrimage in 2010 and returned very enthusiastic and
refreshed in our Catholic faith. I would like to go to strengthen

my class and I are studying that part of Europe in History class
and would like to see the historical sites. However, to fulfill

am in eleventh grade and have been hearing of the Chartres
Pilgrimage for many years. Some of our school’s alumni have been
on this pilgrimage, and their stories of walking along side many
Catholics is amazing. This opportunity for Catholic youth to walk
the same paths of so many saints is inspiring. I believe that this
will be an adventure that I would be privileged to
